Delete your MotoLink account
This page explains how to delete your MotoLink Rider or MotoLink Driver account, and exactly what happens to your data when you do. You can delete your account directly in the app, or request deletion by email.
Option 1
Delete in the app
The fastest way to delete your account and personal data is from inside the app:
- 1Open the MotoLink Rider or MotoLink Driver app and sign in.
- 2Go to the Profile tab.
- 3Tap “Delete Account”.
- 4Confirm. Your account and personal data are permanently removed.
Option 2
Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email support@motolink.rw from the email on your account, or include your registered phone number, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We verify the request and delete your account within 30 days.

- •Your name, phone number, and any email address
- •Profile photo and saved places
- •Trip and ride history linked to your account
- •Precise and approximate location data
- •Driver documents and vehicle details (Driver accounts)
- •Wallet balance and payout details (Driver accounts)
Retained for legal reasons
A limited set of transaction and payment records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them — for example, financial, tax, and regulatory records under Rwandan law (including RURA and Law No. 058/2021 on the protection of personal data). These records are kept in a restricted, de-identified form for no longer than the period required by law (typically up to 5 years), after which they are permanently deleted.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you create a new account later, you start fresh — past trips and wallet history are not restored.
